A fun time at Porcupine!

Salmon Run at Porcupine Reservoir

One of the interesting things we did last Fall was drive to Porcupine Reservoir in Northern Utah to see the Kokanee Salmon make their way up the river. This is something a little out of the ordinary for people who live in landlocked states so we were surprised to see this really happening in Utah!

I’m usually looking for a great place to fish during the warm months, but this spectacular was more fun to observe rather than participate – in fact there was a pretty good crowd as the word gets around pretty fast if there is something interesting to see, especially if it can be seen or observed in the great out of doors.

Have you seen or observed anything unusual? Please share as we are always looking for something fun to do or see.

Much Success! Gary
